Touch World Cup 2011

There will be no fixtures next Thursday, 23rd June, during the Touch World Cup and the Glasgow League will resume on 30th June. All the divisions are shaping up nicely ahead of the final 4 weeks of matches, fingers crossed Thursdays will continue to be dry/sunny for the remainder of the season.

Glasgow Touch League 2011

The Glasgow Touch Association1 is now inviting entries for the 2011 touch league. The league will be held at Balgray Playing Fields, from Thursday 12th May - 21st July. Entry is open to mixed, mens and womens teams, with any level of experience, and fixtures shall be organised such that players can participate in both mixed and single sex teams. Glasgow Touch 2011

Glasgow Touch would like to invite you to receive FREE coaching at sessions led by some of Scotland's international touch players! They will take place at Glasgow Green and commence on Thursday 14th April from 6.30-8.30pm and will run for 4 consecutive Thursdays. Touch is a mixed sport and therefore the training is for men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes.

The aim of the sessions is to provide both beginners and improvers with structured training ahead of the Glasgow Touch league which runs from May to July. We will be concentrating on teaching you the basic Touch skills and rules that will give you a solid foundation from which to progress.

With the World Cup taking place in Edinburgh this June, Touch is the most exciting sport to get involved in at the moment. This is your chance to sample it for yourself!

Glasgow Hosts Nationals 2010

Glasgow Touch are proudly hosting the 4th annual Scottish Touch National Championships this year at Dalziel Park in Motherwell. This year's competition will see men's and women's teams from Aberdeen, Stirling, Glasgow, and Edinburgh compete for the title of national champion. Unlike most one-day tournaments in Scotland, the National Championships feature international regulation-length matches on full-size pitches. The Nationals also mark the beginning of the selection process for the 2011 Scotland squad.

European Touch Championships 2010

The eighth European Touch Championships, 22-25 July Bristol, have now concluded and Glasgow was well represented on and off the field. Congratulations to the following players, referees and management for their involvement in the event.
